SolidWork

what is solidworks ? SolidWorks is a popular 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software that is used for creating and designing complex models and assemblies in mechanical engineering, product design, and other industries. It is developed by Dassault Systèmes, a French software company that also owns other popular software such as CATIA and SIMULIA. SolidWorks provides a range of tools and features for creating 3D models, such as sketching, surface modeling, solid modeling, sheet metal design, and assembly modeling. It allows users to simulate and analyze the performance of their designs before manufacturing, including motion analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). It also supports collaboration and sharing of designs with other users through various formats such as STEP, IGES, and STL. SolidWorks is known for its user-friendly interface and intuitive design, which makes it easy for beginners to learn and use. It is widely used in industries such a

QnA : Internal Combustion Engine

QnA of Internal Combustion Engine : 1. Cetane number of petrol is around 20 - 25° . 2. In diesel engine , the suction contains air only . 3. For air standard Otto cycle compression ratio is equal to expansion ratio . 4. The temperature of interior surface of cylinder wall of IC Engine is normally not allowed to exceed 180 ° . 5. The fluid in the petrol engine ( S.I. ) during compression contain mixture of air and fuel . 6. Function of carburetor is to supply the following . Air and Petrol mixture  7. Objective of supercharging process is - supplying the intake of an engine with air at a density greater than the density of the sure atmosphere . 8. Efficiency of IC Engine is normally of the order of -  30 - 35 percentage . 9. What is true for heat engine ? Efficiency of all reversible engines working between same temperature limits it's same . 10. Which is not an internal combustion engine ? Steam engine .

Introduction of I.C.Engine

Definition of Engine : An engine is a device which transforms one form of energy into another form . Normally ,most of the engines convert thermal energy into mechanical work and therefore they are called heat engines Definition of Heat Engine: Heat engine is a device which transforms chemical energy of fuel into thermal energy and utilizes this thermal energy to perform useful work. Thus thermal energy is converted to mechanical energy in a heat engine. Heat engines can be classified into two categories : 1. I.C.Engines 2. E.C.Engines I.C. - Internal combustion E.C. - External combustion I.C. or E.C. are of two types :  1. Rotary engines 2. Reciprocating engines External combustion engines are those in which combustion takes place out- side the engine whereas in internal combustion engines combustion take  place within the engine. There are two types of engines :  1. Spark ignition (SI) 2. Compression ignition (CI) Engine Components : 1. Cylinder Block 2. Cylinder 3. Piston  4. Comb
